Privacy Policy
Effective September 4, 2026
This policy explains the limited information used to preserve historical Supporter Cards, understand site usage, prevent abuse, and reconcile past payments.
New payments are closed. begging.lol no longer collects new checkout form or payment information.
1. Information you provide
When creating a Supporter Card, you may provide a public name or handle, URL, and short message. For new purchases, these fields and your purchase amount are intentionally public with no fixed expiry while begging.lol operates, until removal on request, refund, or policy violation. Earlier cards retain their original display period unless the purchaser requests and we confirm an extension. At checkout, Dodo Payments may collect your name, email, billing address, payment method information, tax details, and fraud-prevention signals under its own privacy policy.
2. Information we receive
begging.lol receives the order identifier, checkout session identifier, payment status, amount, timestamps, customer email, refund state, and the card content needed to provide support. We do not receive or store your complete card number or bank credentials.
3. Technical and security data
Cloudflare processes ordinary request data such as IP address, user agent, timestamps, and security signals. For checkout rate limiting, begging.lol converts the IP address into a salted, day-specific hash; the raw IP address is not written to the supporter database. We do not currently use advertising trackers or sell personal information.
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate page views, visits, and page-load performance. Its browser beacon sends measurements to Cloudflare through this site's /cdn-cgi/rum endpoint. We do not send Supporter Card form contents, payment details, or customer email addresses to this analytics service. For details, see Cloudflare's Web Analytics documentation.
4. How information is used
- create, rank, display, remove, and support paid cards;
- understand aggregate site usage and improve page performance;
- verify payment and refund webhooks;
- prevent spam, fraud, unsafe links, and duplicate processing;
- respond to payment, privacy, and moderation requests;
- comply with legal, tax, payment-provider, and security obligations.
5. Retention
The minimum card content and verification records needed for an active card are retained for its display period. New cards do not automatically expire; earlier cards retain their agreed expiry unless extended at the purchaser’s request. After display ends, transaction and order records may be retained for up to 24 months where reasonably needed for reconciliation, disputes, abuse prevention, or legal obligations, or longer where required by law. Customer email and salted technical fingerprints are deleted or de-identified after 180 days unless a dispute, fraud review, or law requires longer retention.
6. Providers and international processing
Cloudflare provides hosting, security, database infrastructure, and web analytics. Dodo Payments acts as Merchant of Record for checkout, tax, receipts, refunds, and disputes. These providers may process information in other countries under their terms and safeguards. We disclose data only as necessary to operate the service, comply with law, or protect users and infrastructure.
7. Your choices and rights
You may request correction or early removal of public card content. Depending on applicable law, you may also request access, deletion, restriction, or objection concerning personal information. Some transaction records may need to be retained for legal or dispute purposes. We may ask for the checkout email and transaction reference to verify a request.
8. Security and changes
We use HTTPS, server-side checkout creation, signed webhooks, prepared database statements, restricted secrets, and duplicate-event controls. No system is perfectly secure. Material changes will appear here with a revised effective date.
